WORK COUNSELLING

STAGE ONE

describing the issues

The first stage of the process is for us to get a better understanding of your environment, your job and you as a person:

  • We will ask you to complete a questionnaire describing your organisation.
  • You will also be asked to describe your job; your role; responsibilities; and important tasks and relationships.
  • We will also ask you to complete one or more self-report questionnaires. These include personality, motivation and thinking styles questionnaires
  • Finally, we will ask you for a description of your current situation - what is happening for you right now; how you are thinking and feeling.

All the above will probably take you a couple of hours.

  • Work to help you understand how your current circumstances and your behaviours, preferences and thinking styles interact.
  • Develop activities and homework to help you reframe the way that you respond to triggers at work.
